The Sign Gypsies story began in 2014 in McKinney, Texas. Two friends, both with small children and big imaginations, were seeking an outlet to unleash their creativity and entrepreneurial spirits. Immediately, Sign Gypsies was born! Their tiny idea has now grown to more than 700 locations nationwide giving other entrepreneurial moms the opportunity to unleash their creative passions.
Your Local Gypsies
Hello! We are King and Andrea Bridges, the owners of Sign Gypsies Valdosta/Lowndes. We have one son, Ty, who is a student at Georgia Southern. Since being empty nesters, we decided we had a lot of extra time on our hands, and when the opportunity presented itself to purchase the local Sign Gypsies franchise, we did! We live in Valdosta, Georgia, which puts us right in the middle of our service areas of Lowndes, Brooks, Cook, Echols, and Lanier.
Andrea's creative side paired with King's business mind complement each other in making Sign Gypsies a staple in our community. Serving the community is important to us, and we look forward to helping others celebrate life's magical moments. After almost 20 years of serving as Berrien County's Recreation Director, King began a new career with Farmers and Merchants Bank several years ago, which allowed him more time at home. Andrea has taught at Lowndes High School since 1998. Her first two decades were spent as an English teacher and department chair before moving to her current role as the Work-based Learning and Teaching as a Profession pathway teacher, where she is able to share her passion for teaching with students interested in entering the field of education after graduation.
Time and opportunity met at the perfect moment to make Sign Gypsies Valdosta/Lowndes a new adventure for our family. Our unique service has such an incredibly positive impact on others, and we are excited to be able to spread joy and excitement throughout our community as we help others celebrate BIG!
